Hi, I’m Heidi - counselor, artist, and founder of Wellspring Therapeutic Counseling. After more than 20 years working in education, advocacy, and creative leadership, I felt called to build something different: a warm, intuitive space where therapy becomes an authentic and creative path to healing.
My approach is grounded in psychiatric rehabilitation counseling and shaped by decades supporting neurodiverse learners, teens, and families, especially those navigating ADHD, autism, learning differences, and life transitions. Drawing on my background in arts education and advocacy, I blend clinical tools with creative expression to help clients reclaim their resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
AREAS OF FOCUS:
Our key areas of support are thoughtfully woven to meet you where you are and guide you toward greater self-understanding and emotional well-being. At Wellspring Therapeutic Counseling, we blend creative tools, evidence-informed strategies, and personalized structure to support teens, young adults, and families through every season of life. Whether navigating academic stress, emotional regulation, or identity exploration, our framework honors both individuality and growth.

Grounded in psychiatric rehabilitation and a strengths-based philosophy, our counseling approach supports clients dealing with anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, and emotional regulation. Sessions may include talk therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and creative fiber arts; using hands-on mediums like knitting, sewing, and mixed media to deepen reflection and build self-awareness.
We help clients develop the executive functioning skills they need to succeed in school and beyond; including time management, organization, planning, and self-advocacy. Coaching is personalized, strengths-based, and rooted in practical strategies that work in real life.
Whether it’s navigating 504 plans, IEPs, or transitions to college or work, we empower families and young people to understand their rights, communicate their needs, and take an active role in shaping their future. We bring over two decades of experience in education and youth support to every conversation.

As a rehabilitation counselor, I help clients access the support systems they need to thrive — from mental health and diagnostic resources to academic accommodations, financial aid, and life skills planning. This whole-person approach ensures that no one walks the journey alone or under-resourced.
